This is a traditional strong glazed Fireplace Tile. Made in England using midland fireclay, this is the most popular type of tile used in council solid fuel fireplaces. The neutral mottled mushroom coloured glaze comes up looking bright and shiney time after time, and any coal and soot marks can be easily removed with a normal soapy cleaner. This is a good tile to use when re-furbishing an old council type solid fuel fire surround.
